This is our adult continuation course, for those who have previously completed Start Sailing 1 either at Christies Sailing Club or elsewhere. This course is recommended for ages 18 and up.

Let our qualified and experienced instructors build on the skills that you already have to improve your confidence and sailing ability. We have a fleet of Pacer class dinghies, these are perfect for learning and developing your skills as they are stable, comfortable, and have good performance.

Christies Sailing Club is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline at Christies Beach Esplanade. We are a family friendly club with a thriving junior and adult membership, we are not just somewhere to learn to sail but a place to make friends and continue your sailing journey.

We provide the instructors, the boats, and the safety equipment, you just need to dress appropriately (advice will be given as part of the course) and have fun!

The course consists of a Friday evening theory session and two consecutive Sunday full day practical sessions.

The cost of this course is $250 and includes an associate club membership for participants. Participant numbers are strictly limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Registration closes at midnight on Wednesday 20th November.

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own.

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
